• swap_mutation only swaps genes num_genes // 2 apart; the docs say it swaps 2 random genes

ahmedfgad/GeneticAlgorithmPython#374 · Filter by author tachsin opened on Sep 28, 2026

• With allow_duplicate_genes=False, the random mutation never changes a permutation

ahmedfgad/GeneticAlgorithmPython#372 · Filter by author tachsin opened on Sep 28, 2026

• two_points_crossover draws only the first point; the second is always num_genes // 2 after it

ahmedfgad/GeneticAlgorithmPython#370 · Filter by author tachsin opened on Sep 28, 2026

• sbx crossover always returns the lower SBX child, so crossed genes drift towards the lower bound
